HISTORY

Christine Pomponio and I met back in 1999 in downtown Denver. Within the first few minutes after first meeting, she asked me if I had any experience in fitness training. I explained to her that I had done personal training for a handful of people and had trained a former girlfriend “Kellie Cole” for the very first ever Miss Colorado Fitness Championship, which she happened to place 2nd overall behind Carol Semple[1] in 1991.

Long story short, we spent the next two years training together, as we trained her for fitness. I also continued to train for bodybuilding at the same time. We not only worked on her physique, but we also had to put together a floor routine that incorporated gymnastic moves.
It was no surprise to me that Christine won 1st place in her height class but also swept the Overall Class and went home with the title of 1999 Miss Colorado Fitness Champion. It was an amazing night as we both went home with trophies as I was able to win 2nd place in the 1999 Mr. Colorado Masters.

Shortly after the win, we were both brought on board with Euthenics Sports Nutrition (ESN) as Spokes Models for their supplement line.

Although her first place win immediately qualified her for Nationals, we agreed that she needed another contest under her belt in order to prepare her for the NPC Nationals. We chose to compete in the 2000 Mid-USA Championships which was only weeks away and made sure we worked on any areas the judges saw that needed improvement.

We drove down to Albuquerque, New Mexico and to no avail Christine again swept the competition and we came back to Denver with another title as she was awarded 1999 Miss MID-USA Fitness Champion.
With two titles under her belt and now being qualified for nationals, we began to train the rest of the year for the upcoming 2000 NPC Nationals.
Christine then competed at the 2000 NPC Nationals in LA and to no surprise, Christine came back home with her 1st ever National Title.

From late 2000 and beyond, Christine moved on and pursued her dreams as an IFBB-Pro and received advanced training from a former fitness champion, which she was able to accomplish the following:

2005 Arnold Figure Classic—4th
2005 Figure Olympia—6th
2005 Pro Figure Tournament of Champions—1st
2006 Figure Olympia—4th
2006 IFBB CO Pro/Am—3rd
2006 IFBB CA Pro Championship—1st

ENDORSEMENT

I met Tom Hendrix in 1999 and upon our first meeting I could tell he was fit and appeared to have a symmetrically balanced physique. I immediately inquired as to if he had ever trained anyone. He stated he had helped train and instruct several people over the years and had actually trained a local female that won 2nd Place Ms. Fitness Colorado. I asked him if he would consider training me for fitness competitions and he agreed.

We trained weekly on all body parts. He promoted proper lifting techniques and using proper seat position and weight alignment, with proper posture in each lift. He was able to help transform my physique relativity quickly and focused on balance from top to bottom based on the latest female fitness standards being judged in the most recent contests.

Tom helped choreograph my music and floor routine and I was able to rely on my youth experiences in gymnastics to perform a floor routine that met the competitions standards. With Tom’s help I was able to win my first contest at the 1999 Miss Colorado Fitness Championship. Tom also helped me win my 2nd show in Albuquerque NM at the 1999 MID-USA Fitness Championships.

Tom and I were teamed up as Spokesmodels for Euthenics Sports Nutrition for a short period. In 2000 Tom continued to help me train for the 2000 NPC Nationals, where I was awarded 1st Place NPC Nationals Fitness.
